Technically it was already last year, but the topic of today?s diary entry will
be the annual Musashi Urawa Japanese Language Institute Christmas Party which was
held on December 24th.
As soon as the Japanese Language Proficiency Exam finished on December 7th, all of the classes started watching videos from last year trying to decide what they
will perform this year. Somehow they managed to practice out of sight from everyone else, so no one knew what anyone else was planning.
The teachers went first, and while it was obvious that they hadn?t practiced very
much, they made up for it in numbers. Despite the uncertain movements they had to
Kanjani?s ?Musekinin Hero,? the students still rose and joined in. After this, the
competition started, and the teacher judges had to evaluate the singing, dancing,
and overall performance of the ten classes. Luckily for them, J4B class truly outshone
the rest. After it was announced that they had received the top prize, the reaction
was shown by the following remarks: ?those three boys dressed as women did a great
job,? and ?they really reached the audience by gradually drawing the people in,?
and even ?they used last year?s experience to make this a fabulous performance.?
The first year students already started thinking about what they could
do for next
year after seeing what the J4B class did. In fact, the determination with which
the students were looking forward to next year?s party showed how a great school
tradition is born.
Let?s have another great year everyone!
