On May 15th at the Saitama Cultural Centre we had the entrance ceremony for the new students. All the students were there in suits, although it appeared that they weren’t quite used to such formal attire. To start the ceremony, the formal entrance permission was given by the Principal, the President, and other guests. This was followed by greetings from representatives of both the new and returning students. Once these were finished, a commemorative photo was taken and the ceremony closed with a formal Japanese bow. It was a unique experience for all the new students. After the ceremony, there was a much more casual party. A student MC directed the affair, which started with a piano performance by another student. The teachers and staff then made some remarks to the students, and finally there were more student performances. Everyone had a great day. From now on we will be studying together and learning about new cultures and ideas. We’ll do our best! |
