The Musashiurawa Japanese Institute recently started offering an optional Japanese conversation class. Students often did not have many opportunities to speak Japanese outside the classroom, particularly with people in different age groups, so this class is proving to be very popular.

Volunteers come to the school every week and discuss topics such as pop culture, traditional art, cuisine, how to enter a Japanese university, whatever the students would like to talk about. They have said that the students are so eager to talk and so knowledgeable that sometimes they feel like they are the ones being taught!

With everyone finding the class so comfortable, many students are coming regularly every week for the valuable practice.
