Do you know what these papers are?
?Of course you can?t see them very clearly, but these are university acceptance letters. Today two students from our J5 class received the wonderful news that they were accepted into Tsukuba University. They were the final students to hear back about university, so now the whole class can look forward to graduation without worrying about the future.
Imagine everything they went through to receive this single piece of paper: deciding to which university to apply; worrying about their entrance exam results; making sure they met all the deadlines?the list is never-ending. On top of all of this, everyone in the class made a pact at the beginning of term that they would all take Level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, so they had extra pressure from that commitment as well. There was even a student who would consider no other school than Waseda University, and said from the very beginning that if it did not work out they would go back to their home country. That creates a lot of stress!
Therefore, being able to welcome this happy day is not thanks to God, but must be awarded to the students? own determination and refusal to give up.
Of course, this is a new beginning, so please try to rest a little before you face this next challenge. And never forget our school?s motto of ?one day at time.? Look at each new day as a new opportunity!
Congratulations again!
